07 Oct 2012 - Burning a furnace

The goal of this day was to have an open workshop as people worked on different activities. The one that got pictures was the bead furnace. The focus here was mostly just running it and working in it to get more practice and to test the usability of the basic design.

There is also a video of the furnace starting up a burn. This 'cough and then a jet' is very much representative of this kind of furnace as the temperature climbs and the stream of gasses ignites.
