| At first we intended to try to tap off slag at the rear, and so keep the initial front tuyere from becoming submerged. Mike demonstrated how easy it actually was to re-plug an existing hole with fresh clay. We were all somewhat amazed how easy this proved to be - given enough mixed clay to work with. This plug was removed again to serve as the new tuyere. Previous
