| Showing the base construction. The smelter will be built just behind the concrete paving slab. The slab gives us a flat and stable work surface to mount the pipe tuyere. The front edge of the tapping pit is re-inforced with bricks. Next the grass cover will be removed just behind the slab and the soil stamped down to form the base for the smelter itself. Previous
