This interesting photo (taken by holding the camera inside the face shield) shows flames moving into the furnace. This was a first for us - we are used to flames going out of the light brights. It does make sense though as the chimney effect drew air in where it was easily available (without having to be pulled through a stack of charcoal). It is also possible to see air leaking in around the working port. This caused us to move around sealing up the cracks a little better to try and increase the air draw into the charcoal mass where it would help with the temperature.
