| During efforts to lower the bowl (which formed too high due to clay walls spalling off) - this chunk of fused wall material was pulled out of the bottom. Too much clay material means lower temperatures since there is less charcoal. Also more of the energy budget is spent heating the ceramic which isn't good. Previous
